According to representatives of the statistical department of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, last month the cost of corn for making animal feed on the domestic market averaged about twelve thousand rubles per ton.
Analysts note that such a price is noticeably - by seven tenths of a percent - higher than the average price indicator that was fixed in the Russian Federation a month earlier, in April 2019.
It will not be superfluous to note that exactly one year before the current calculations, in May 2018, fodder corn cost buyers almost three times cheaper than now.
If we talk about changes in the cost of corn from the first days of this year, then in the first five months of 2019, this product rose in price on the market of the Russian Federation by almost twenty-four percent.
It is important to add that over the past two years, the minimum price limit for fodder corn was registered last spring - in May 2018, when a ton of corn cost buyers only four thousand two hundred rubles.
Those prices that were fixed in May 2019 (twelve thousand rubles per ton) are considered the highest for the past two years.
