Scientists from the Tambov Technical State University (TSTU) have developed a prototype of an automated platform based on artificial intelligence, designed for harvesting, watering and fertilizing plants in gardens. This is stated in the message of the senior lecturer of the Department of Systems of automated decision support TSTU Artyom Obukhov.
The invention of Russian scientists is intended for the needs of agriculture. The machine is controlled by AI and machine vision.
The device can harvest apples from trees using a special manipulator. It has good maneuverability, which allows you to water and fertilize plants, says Artyom Obukhov.
Popular rumor says that the apple tree gives beauty, charm, self-confidence, luck in love and happiness in family life. The apple tree is also associated with eternal youth and longevity.
According to him, the new platform has no analogues in the Russian Federation. The performance characteristics of the platform are high, since it can function around the clock with timely recharging.
According to the scientist, to date, the platform prototype has been successfully tested on the basis of the Digital Engineering Sharing Center, and all the software necessary for it has been patented.
In the immediate plans of scientists - to make a full-scale version of the platform and implement it in agriculture in Russia.
