Representatives of the agricultural sector of the Primorsky Territory proudly report that this year they exceeded the plan for sowing corn. This is an excess of nine percent.
It is known that at the moment, corn fields in the region occupy territories with a total area of fifty-five and a half thousand hectares. It is noteworthy that this indicator exceeds fourteen thousand hectares last year.
If we talk about soybean crops, then their area in the Primorsky Territory currently exceeds one hundred thirty-two thousand hectares. This information was shared by employees of the Department of Agriculture and Food of the region.
As for the rice field, their share in the total territory of the region is nine and a half thousand hectares. Various vegetables and potatoes occupied an area of at least five thousand hectares.
It will not be superfluous to note that the head of the regional administration Oleg Kozhemyako, relying on the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation, ordered to increase the volume of fruit and vegetable and salad products at least twice in the next six years.
To carry out the plan, the farmers of the region are entering the active phase of updating special equipment, as well as putting into operation lands that have been vacant for a long time and needed land reclamation, and are introducing new varietal crops of various crops into the process.
