This was told by co-owner of the Krasnopolsky MMK Igor Voshchenko. The main reason for the occurrence of dysentery is an improper diet in feeding pigs, he stressed.
In 2018, the farm decided to prevent the outbreak of this disease using phytobiotics.
“During the transfer of animals for rearing on an ongoing basis, phytobiotics were added to the compound feed,” said Igor Voshchenko. “In addition, for groups of pigs in which diarrhea was observed, a liquid phytobiotic was additionally added to the water.”
According to him, as a result, in the research groups receiving dry and liquid phytobiotics, there were no cases of dysentery, and pig production indicators improved.
