Farmers of Cherkasy region excelled in growing walnuts. they laid a hazel on an area of 3 hectares, as reported by the administration of Lysyansky forestry.
This year, local residents from Lysyansky district actively supported the campaign for planting young nuts. young trees that are now under the supervision of local forestry specialists.
In addition to volunteers from the surrounding settlements, schoolchildren from rural educational and industrial complexes, in particular, the village of Vinograd, helped plant a nut plantation.
Of all the walnut plantations in the territory of Cherkasy region, the largest areas are occupied by the plantations of Lysyansky district.
Walnut fruits are very healthy and are of great nutritional value. At the same time, the demand for walnuts both in Ukraine and in the world is quite high and can give a good income.
It was previously reported that in March 2019, Ukraine set a new record in export deliveries of walnuts, increasing their volumes on the foreign market by 2 times compared with March of the previous year. The volume of export of nuts in the first six months of the 2018/19 marketing year has grown to the level of 43 thousand tons, which is 39% more than last year.
