Construction work on the construction of a new enterprise will soon begin in the Kherson region. This will be a plant for the refinement of sorghum seeds with equipment from Fadeev Agro Limited Liability Company, said Yaroslav Bardin, director general of the Ukrsorgo research and production company.

It is planned to invest 3-4 million UAH in the first production line. Invested funds should pay off in the first season. If desired, other modules can be added to the line. The design is notable for its simplicity and efficiency. With its help, it is planned to refine the seeds, as well as to pickle and pack them.

Ukrainian farmers underestimate sorghum. This is due to the inability to capture the mood and demands of the market. Some inertia also hinders, said Yaroslav Bardin.

For information, sorghum is a cereal plant that can be grown as annual or perennial. Sorghum is a very popular culture all over the world. The range of its application is unusually wide. It is used for the manufacture of biofuels, solid fuels, biogas. Sugar, cereal, flour, vinegar and starch are made from it. Sorghum is also used as livestock feed. Brooms, wicker items and paper are made from technical sorghum.
