According to the first deputy chairman of the Volochysk city united territorial community, Alexander Vasilchenko, the water level in Zbruch actually remained unchanged. The greatest damage was caused not by the river, but by surface water, which washed away the soil in the fields.
According to the official, the weather caused the most losses to the crops, which the water washed away from the fields. Got and infrastructure. “Due to the terrain, rainwater washed away the soil from the fields and carried it onto rural roads and courtyards located in the lowlands,” says Alexander Vasilchenko. - It is known that housing has not been seriously damaged. The bridge in the Bunnies, from which the asphalt pavement partially demolished, could also be seriously damaged. Now its integrity is being examined by road service workers in the Khmelnitsky region.
“Today, a team walks around the yards, evaluates the losses caused to people. For example, if a city planted with vegetables was washed away, we describe its area and the farmers planted there. Our mayor believes that people need to at least partially compensate for losses. Perhaps the region will help us in this, ”summed up Alexander Vasilchenko.
