As part of the financial support for measures in the agricultural sector of Ukraine by reducing the cost of loans for agricultural producers of the Sumy region, 6.18 million UAH is provided.

Such compensation is provided on a competitive basis to business entities of the agro-industrial complex. two meetings of the regional commission were held, where 42 applications submitted by 22 agricultural enterprises of the region were considered.

For all applications, the commission made positive decisions and determined the amount of reimbursement in 2019. The entire distributed amount of the approved budget assignments amounted to 6.18 million UAH.

Agribusiness entities from the following areas took part in the program of cheapening loans: Akhtyrsky - 7, Konotopsky - 4, Sumskaya - 3, Belopolsky - 2, Krasnopolsky - 2, Lebedinsky - 2, Shostkinsky - 1, Sumy - 1.

As of July 12, 2019, borrowers were paid compensation for interest actually paid in the amount of 2.54 million (the 6th indicator among the regions of Ukraine).

Earlier it was reported that the largest Ukrainian producer of poultry products, the Dneprovskaya agro-industrial group, will receive loan funds from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in the amount of 20 million euros (in two tranches of 10 million euros) for the reconstruction and expansion of the face factory.
