The Lowlander Beer brewery, well-known in Holland, presented a unique product to the world gourmet court - winter beer brewed from needles of Christmas trees thrown out after the New Year.
“We needed about 600 kilograms of needles to brew a limited batch of beer,” brewery workers say. - To collect raw materials we were helped both by ordinary residents of the Netherlands, in particular, Amsterdam, as well as employees of the city botanical garden and restaurant employees. In other words, everyone who is not indifferent to the fate of evergreen beauties at the end of the Christmas holidays is involved in the creation of beer! ”
According to the brewers' estimates, thousands of Christmas tree needles were used to make a limited batch. The branches and bark of these trees were also used - from this material, the brewers made gift wrapping for unique beer, and also sent some of the raw materials to produce sparkling beer using champagne yeast.
Those who managed to try winter beer from a limited collection noted that the drink is unusually refreshing and surprises with its piquant taste. Of course, there is a slight bitterness, but this only makes the beer more interesting. Drinks are sold in bars in the Netherlands. In addition, the “winter beer” from Lowlander Beer is available on the Amazon online trading platform.
