The audit is scheduled to be held from March 18 to 29 of the current year. The auditors are focused on the effectiveness of Russian measures to ensure the safety of the production of products of animal origin, which are supplied to the European Union and, in particular, milk, dairy products and intestinal membranes.
Before the start of the audit, a list of enterprises producing such products must be determined, plus their raw material bases, which will be presented for audit by EU auditors.
The audit results should show whether it is possible to include Russian enterprises in the relevant lists of importers of products in the countries of the European Union.
At the moment, the Russian Federation does not have the right to add its milk processing enterprises to the EU supplier lists. Russia's loss of such opportunities occurred due to unsatisfactory results of the previous audit, comments on the activities of veterinary services, and the lack of a phased monitoring system for dairy production in Russia.
