To date, over forty-three million two hundred thousand tons of grain and leguminous crops have been threshed in the Russian Federation.
It is noteworthy that a year ago, by the same date, domestic farmers managed to thresh only thirty-three million tons of grain.
Such information was shared with the public by employees of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. In addition, the department emphasized that the threshing of eleven million nine hundred thousand hectares provided such results, while a year earlier, by the same date in July 2018, only a little less than nine million hectares had been threshed.
The average yield of grain and leguminous plants at the moment is thirty-six and a half centners per hectare. A year ago, the average yield was almost thirty-seven centners per hectare.
It is important to add that at the moment the wheat crop is harvested from territories with a total area of nine million nine hundred thousand hectares. More than thirty-six and a half million tons of grain were threshed from them, which led to an average yield of thirty-seven point two centners per hectare.
The barley yield on average is currently over thirty-five and a half centners per hectare. And today's rate of rape yield in Russian fields is about twenty-one and a half centners per hectare.
