KazBeef, the only producer of marbled beef in Kazakhstan using American technology, has opened a modernized plant in the Akmola region with a capacity of 2-6 thousand tons.
“I believe that Kazakhstan should become a leader in the region in the production of all types of meat. We have the potential for the Kazakh agricultural industry to occupy half of the country's economy.
Agriculture should become more important than oil and gas because it is renewable. New technologies are also of great importance. It is important that the agricultural industry is environmentally friendly, ”said Erkin Tatishev, chairman of the board of directors of the Kusto Group.
Equipment for deboning and packaging of the finished product has already been installed at the plant. In June, they launched the Skin Pack steak vacuum baking process. Subsequently, meat sorting equipment and 2 meat deboning lines were installed, and the Metro Cash & Carry distribution center was built, capable of storing up to 1 thousand tons of product, the Astana Times reported.
According to the CEO of KazBeef Beibit Yerubaev, today 70% of the meat of the domestic market comes from bazaars and personal households of citizens. The situation can be changed by providing the best quality at a good price. Food safety is a priority for the company. The consumer should buy meat, upon receipt of which hormones and antibiotics were not used.
“Our products are certified by the GFSI international food safety system. This certificate is recognized worldwide, and we will be able to export our products. We are proud of the opening of the plant and at the same time, we are ready to share our experience with other entrepreneurs of the country, ”said General Director Beibit Yerubaev.
The feedlot, which will be launched in late July, is designed for 15 thousand head of cattle. It is planned that it will be able to produce up to 6 thousand tons of high-quality marbled beef per year.
