And this despite the fact that in the early days of 2019, sellers slightly reduced beet prices in order to attract the attention of the buyer and encourage him to purchase this product.

“The trick was a success - buyers intensified, demand grew. And here sellers again raised the cost of root crops, - market analysts comment on the situation. “And now they are doing this with enviable regularity, since the beets in the storages are inexorably running out, and the new harvest season is still far away.”

As a result, today on the markets and in stores in Russia, the main ingredient for borsch and vinaigrette costs consumers an average of 13-14 rubles. The upper price limit per kilogram of product reaches 16 rubles, the lower - 10: the gradation depends on the region of cultivation and sale, on the variety, quality and volume of the batch. Last week, Russians bought beets on average at 9 rubles per kilo.
