But even in the summer, when there was a shortage of sunflower oil inside the country, tanks with it went abroad one by one. In September 2017 / August 2018, Russia exported 2.3 million tons. This is 200 thousand tons more than last season.
The second reason export has grown is, in fact, the demand abroad. The largest customer in Russia is Egypt. For the season September 2017 / August 2018, he bought 428 tons of oil from Russia. The next largest order was Turkey, although this year it reduced it by 30%. Lost in contracts with Turkey, Russia compensated for deliveries to the countries of the Middle East. Also, China became a major customer of Russian sunflower oil.
