Last week, the prices of quality cherries changed several times. In the first days of the week, berries cost 85-100 UAH / kg. Over the weekend, supply and demand increased, and prices fell to 45-65 UAH / kg.
Cherries grown in Ukraine are already sold both in wholesale markets and in supermarket chains. Quite a high demand for seasonal berries provokes not only hot weather, but also the desire of customers to have time to try a vitamin product.
As for price fluctuations, even 10 days ago a lot of imported berries were present in the markets at a price of at least 100-120 UAH / kg. Moreover, its quality was far from ideal.
Today, Ukrainian sweet cherries are sold at a price of 45-65 UAH / kg. If we talk about cherries, which is sold in supermarket chains, here the price and quality do not correspond to reality.
Buying delicious, high-quality berries at an affordable price in Ukraine is becoming increasingly difficult.
Earlier it was reported that in the spring on Ukrainian markets appeared sweet cherry from Spain at a price of 230-250 UAH / kg, which is equivalent to 7.84-8.53 euros / kg. Despite such a high price, the first imported cherries were in great demand among consumers.
This year, the cherry harvest season in Ukraine was delayed due to adverse weather conditions, as a result of which the absence of domestic berries was offset by foreign products.
