At the Gnidavsky sugar factory in the Volyn region, preparations began for the new sugar season.
At the moment, the company continues to cooperate with agricultural producers and is trying to determine the number of cultivated areas under sugar beet, the company said.
It is expected that in 2019 the Gnidavsky sugar factory will reach the level of crops of sugar beets last year. So far, not all farmers have decided on the number of cultivated areas that will be allocated for sugar beets. This is affected by both the cost of sugar and the components that are needed to get a good harvest, said Alexander Nikishin, deputy director for raw materials.
Gnidavsky sugar factory has been operating since 1958. The first sugar was obtained here on December 16, 1958. Today, the processing capacity of the plant is 6 thousand tons of beets per day. Gnidavsky sugar factory products can be purchased under the trademark "Solodko" TM. At the moment, the company produces such products: granulated sugar, eco-sugar, sucrose, brown sugar, fine crystalline and instant sugar. By-products of the production are raw pulp and molasses. The factory buys beets for sugar production from Rivne, Lviv and Volyn regions.
