The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko approved and assured with his signature the Law on the provision of information about food products to consumers.

According to this law, food products must be labeled in accordance with the new rules: the font on the marker and its size must comply with the standards, comprehensive information on the presence of allergen ingredients in the product, on the content of oils and fats of vegetable and animal origin.

Information on whether the product has been frozen and / or thawed should also be included in the labeling. And, of course, the date of manufacture and expiration dates of the products should be indicated. Information that may mislead the consumer should not be present on the product packaging.
