Since Ukraine’s independence, more than 500 villages have disappeared from its map. To prevent the extinction of the native village, its residents organized a profitable business - growing berries. Over the past few years, 200 new jobs have been created here.
The resource that is always found in rural areas is land and people. In addition to employment, the production of berries gives a big profit, says village chairman Viktor Olshevsky.
Entrepreneurs have shown by their own example that it is possible to work with land, it is not necessary to lease it. They handed out quality planting material to people for free. Agronomists have shown how to properly land, says the head of the company Triada MK Sergey Ukrainets.
Currently, people from 11 districts of Vinnitsa region go to work in Snitkov. Many move to the village for permanent residence. In 2018, 15 people moved to Snitkov. Internally displaced people come here. Even a family from Russia chose Snitkov as their home.
In 2018, the staff shortage amounted to 100 people. Despite the fact that many visitors work in Snitkov, some local residents refuse to officially get a job because of the registered subsidy, Viktor V. Olshevsky reports.
