Many farmers are familiar with the problem: obtaining a loan is not easy, and even if the farm is in good economic shape, credit institutions are hesitant to give a loan.
Farmers can use other means, because with a sales and leaseback system, an agricultural machine can be turned into money and the farm is still maintained.
The largest tractor in the world was created in the USA in 1977 with an engine power of 900 horsepower and a size of 8.2 * 6 * 4.2 m.
Farmers use a special form of leasing for sales with leaseback. The focus is on the agricultural machine, which is used as an object of financing. The principle is as follows: the car is sold in the first stage, and in the second stage, the farmer rents the car that he just sold from the new owner.
Selling and leasing back in German means “sell and rent” - and this is exactly what is done with the agricultural machine. Sometimes it is also called “Cash & Drive”. With this financing tool, farmers can use many different agricultural implements and machines as objects. For example: front-end loader, trailer, motor mower, milling machine, cultivator, combines.
The supplier has a wide range of possible facilities, and also offers farmers to use machines that are not listed. In this way, the supplier platform responds to special, unpredictable conditions under which farmers have to work.
In principle, you can also monetize other assets using Cash & Drive. These include, for example, cars, motorcycles and more.
- To date, the program for compensation of the cost of agricultural machinery received applications for 400 million UAH. There are fears that public funds may not be enough for all the farmers who applied.
