The owner of the new geographical name was the administration of the Gamma Plus company, which is located in the Gulkevichsky district of the Krasnodar Territory. This was announced by the chairman of the regional administration Veniamin Kondratiev. According to him, in the very near future, other gardening companies and individual landowners of the region will become owners of the recently registered geographical name of regional apples.

Kondratyev is convinced that the registration of a geographical name is only the first step in a large-scale and lengthy process of protecting Kuban goods and their producers. Also, the head of the regional administration added that “Krasnodar early potato” and “Kuban strawberry” will be registered as geographical names very soon.

This, Kondratyev is sure, will help protect the rights of manufacturers and protect the consumer from acquiring a fake. Because the word "Kuban" in the product name should a priori be automatically associated with customers with high quality and excellent taste.
