Last week in the market of vegetables of the closed soil of Ukraine was characterized by a series of changes, the specialists of the Ukrainian fruit and vegetable association UPOA said.
A week earlier, experts noticed a trend towards a drop in prices for vegetables grown in the greenhouse, as a result of which the prices of cucumbers and tomatoes are now at the level of last year.
The pricing of the cucumber market in the West of the country has changed under the influence of weather vagaries, which served as a slight increase in the cost of the above products. So, cucumbers rose to 16-18 UAH / kg.
In the southern regions of the country, favorable weather conditions served as a factor in increasing the number of cucumber offers. Based on this, cucumbers grown in a greenhouse were sold at a price of 10 UAH / kg.
The tomato market of Ukraine for the reporting period did not undergo similar changes. The supply of greenhouse vegetables was gradually increasing, which reduced prices. This process has been going on for four weeks now. An increase in the supply of goods from Poland and Turkey also leads to a drop in prices.
As a result, prices for tomatoes grown in closed ground last week ranged from 20-27 UAH / kg, depending on the variety, quality and volume of the batch.
